DiPli Lab Logo Contest

DiPlilab (Digital Play & Innovation Lab) is opening in Fall 2012 @bankstreetedu and we need playful logo to match our gaming spirits. DiPli Lab will be an informal space for educators and learners to meet and play as equals. We will explore digital play as a starting point for learner-driven, unstructured inquiry. Please submit your design by May 31, 2012. The winner will receive a functioning Macintosh SE with the Lode Runner disk. Click on Submit for contest details.

Thank you everyone for your hard work and eagerness to help DiPli Lab find its first logo. We selected the graphic made by @SirAlternate and paired it with an in-house title. We tested the logo with many age groups and found that children immediately said “Minecraft” and adults immediately said “It reminds me of the pixels of my youth!”. We’ll run more contests in the years to come as new games come and go. DM @diplilab to claim your prize! Congratulations!

We’re sorting through all of the awesome entries this weekend and will post the winner soon. Thank you for being patient!

Does the logo need to have an image or can it be a font-based logo?

The design of the logo is totally up to you. Just keep in mind that it will be used as an icon for emails, Twitter account, etc. and be printed on posters so it should be scalable.

The original Lode Runner game is included as a bonus prize (how awesome is that?!). Sorry, no original box; simply a classic floppy copy with other mysterious items on it.

Make all of your friends jealous with this sweet Mac SE. It is up for grabs, along with a copy of Lode Runner, for the logo contest winner.

Update 5/15: Adding a $50 Steam wallet for runner up!
